Me: On average, women make up (pun intended) 65% of the crowd at events I organize/market.  As we begin to build this “lifestyle ecosystem”, I imagine many women would be interested in your company. Briefly, what is SitiART and explain its’ value?

Siteria: SitiART is a professional make-up artistry business created to provide its clients with exceptional personal service at affordable prices.

ME: So what makes SitiART unique?

Siteria: Well, for starters, there’s no need for you to travel because I come to you and do your makeup in the comfort of your own home. I have experience in television, print, bridal, stage, and standard makeup application, so I’m well-rounded and always willing to try new and interesting projects. I also offer airbrush makeup, which is one of the hottest and fastest-growing trends in cosmetics because of its longevity (it lasts up to 18 hours!) and the feeling of weightlessness it provides while on your skin.

Me: Many founders talk about their “ah-ha” moment where everything clicked for them What was yours?

Siteria: A year ago, I had just finished graduate school and like many, I was unemployed. I began offering makeup application as a way to make ends meet and almost instantly, it became a passion of mine. With the encouragement of some of my regular clients (and after Divine confirmation through prayer), I decided to turn it into business.

Me: Tell us who you have worked with recently?

Siteria: Actress and philanthropist Sheryl Lee Ralph, celebrity hairstylist Chris Gees, celebrity makeup artist Danessa Myricks, R&B group Nuánce, and Tallahassee Nights Live.

Me: What else are you currently working on?

Siteria: Besides preparing for the makeup classes, I’m preparing to have several photo shoots by the end of this summer. I’m currently looking for photographers, clothing/hair stylists and models interested in editorial and conceptual work. Serious inquiries only, please: siteria[at]sitiart[dot]com.

Me: Complete this sentence, someone should hire you if…

Siteria: They want a makeup artistry service that will make them look and feel like a celebrity!

Me: Our new Thursday night social experience at Café Cabernet is for the “right” crowd. What type of makeup strategy do you recommend for the women in attendance?

Siteria: For Spring 2010, it’s all about a youthful, clean face paired with a simple, yet bold lip color. On the face, I recommend a liquid foundation like Soft Focus foundation from Victoria’s Secret or Face and Body foundation from M.A.C.; for a classic matte finish on the lip, I recommend something like Ruby Woo (a true red) or Siss (a neutral taupe) from M.A.C. For something a little more bold, try Kiss New York’s Color Shock Gloss in Femme Fatale (candy apple red) or Nude Seduction (neutral taupe); Kiss New York’s lipstick in Tea Rose (vibrant hot pink) is one of my favorites to put on a client’s lips!

Me: Tell the women in Tallahassee about your new make-up class?

Siteria: I’m offering my first-ever makeup basics class on May 1st and again on May 8th, 2010. It’s a 4-hour session that will teach you how to create the looks you see on tv on yourself using the tools you already have. Each class is only $60 per person, and all you’ll need to bring are your cosmetics (if any), your brushes (if any) and an open mind. You’ll receive a class guide to aid you in the session, you’ll have an opportunity to practice techniques and much more! Seating is limited and  is booked on a first-come, first-serve basis. Cash, check, money order, Visa, and Mastercard (via Paypal) are accepted forms of payment. Book now to hold your spot!

Me: How can people get in contact with you?

Siteria: Please visit my website, www.sitiart.com, send me an email (siteria [at]sitiart[dot]com), and/or join the SitiART fan page and group on Facebook. I’m also on Twitter: twitter.com/sitiart. If you’re interested in registering for the makeup basics class, please send your contact information and which session (May 1st or 8th) you’d like to attend to: info[at]sitiart[dot]com.

Siteria endorses the opening of the new Thursdays at Cafe Cabernet on April 8th, 2010. There is no cover and complimentary Crown Royal cocktails are served until 11pm. Mandatory RSVP  may be submitted here.
