Earlier in the week, I hinted at some pretty big announcements. Well, here’s two of them:

+Big Announcement #1: Silicon Valley Youth Hackathon Coming To Atlanta Sept 26-27
Level The Playing Field, the Kapor Center for Social Impact’s nonprofit, is bringing their youth hackathon (8th – 10th graders) to Atlanta on September 26 – 27th at Morehouse College. And my nonprofit startup, Amplify 4 Good, will be helping to plan and produce it!It is an amazing opportunity to drive Metro Atlanta minority students into the tech ecosystem and into STEM career pathways.

Here’s where I need your help: – Getting 100 black/brown 8th – 10th graders to participate – Getting 80 developers/designers who can be technical mentors – Getting 80 professionals to be mentors – Getting 30 college students/adults to be general volunteers

++To register, please direct people to www.lpfi.org/HackATL

+Big Announcement #2: National Black MBA Conference After Party in Orlando
The National Black MBA Conference will be in Orlando at the end of September, and is the largest gathering of talented African-American professionals in the world. They work hard and party harder.

The good news is that I’m a host (FAMU MBA 2003) for their Official After Party in Orlando, and would love it if you joined 1,000 of the top Black professionals in the country for an awesome experience packed with celeb performances. It’s invite-only and free. Consider yourself invited. You know how I do.
